Lena Hoschek Autumn - Winter 2012 Collection

Lena Hoschek's Autumn - Winter 2012 Catalog Collection is here! And the clothes are so feminine and chic! I especially love the dark Autumn colors, the lace, the silk and the shinny metallic materials used in this collection.

The following is Lena Hoschek's Autumn/ Winter photo fashion show.

Enjoy the collection!

It's hard to pick a favorite, because all of the clothes are just pretty. So here are some that I just absolutely love:

*Page 2: The black and white blouse with tiny polka dot is super cute. I would wear it to an art event, to a lecture, or even to the library.

* Page 8: The burgundy velvet jacket and skirt. I don't why, but I could see myself riding a horse somewhere in England with this dress.

*Page 9: The light blue shiny dress would be perfect to wear for an afternoon wedding.

*Page 13 & 14: Take a close look at the vintage lady pattern. So retro awesome!

* Page 21: The dress in silver and burgundy tapestry pattern is magnificent.

*Page 23: The pumpkin color silky dress is Autumn chic on the go.

* Page 39: Last, but not least is the long Ivory lace dress which is a bride's dream!

Fashion Look by Annika Victoria

The other day while looking for fashion inspiration, I came across the unique fashion look of Annika Victoria.

Annika's whimsical look along with her hair color and serene face was like seeing a living vintage doll! That was why I had to tell you all about her.

This 20 year old from Australia not only loves vintage fashion, and DIY projects. But she is currently getting her bachelor in Science. One day she would love to own her own fashion label. Judging from what we've seen already, she has great potential!

The following look is one of my favorites! I totally love how Annika combined the creamy color orange polka dot dress and brown accessories. Isn't the Scottish Terrier belt super cute!

This sweet outfit is totally a perfect Autumn look!

I could also see it being a great back to school ensemble. Or even an outfit to take the dog out for a walk.

You are welcome to visit Annika's blog The Pineneedle Collective and see her other fun fashion looks.

Bésame Cosmetics Crimson Cream Rouge

Bésame Cosmetics is one of my favorites beauty products that I totally love and can't leave home without! Lately these products have become famous thanks to shows like Pan-Am and the movie The Artist. But the main reason why these products are sought is because of it's founder Gabriela Hernandez who has brought back classic beauty makeup for the glamours woman of today.

Recently Bésame Cosmetics was awarded a Cosmetic Innovators 2012 City Award for their vintage inspired Crimson Cream Rouge!

What is special about this little rouge? Well lets find out and see.

  • Crimson Cream Rouge is a concentrated, long-lasting color cream modeled after the rouges from the romantic 1930's era that doubled as a cosmetic for use on the cheeks and lips.
  • Applied to the cheeks with a fingertip, it goes on as a silky, creamy color to create a natural, rosy look. Add a little more for a bolder, more enhanced look.
  • Never heavy or moist after application, it blends into the skin seamlessly.
  • Applied to the lips with a lipstick brush or the fingertip, lips are stained to a semi-matte finish for a pop of color.
  •  The bright crimson hue has been carefully developed to be complementary with all skin tones.
  • Crimson Cream Rouge is formulated with the finest ingredients: olive, grape seed and jojoba oils for moisture and antioxidant properties, vitamin E, kaolin clay, and a natural cherry flavor. You can be rest assured that Crimson Cream Rouge provides a healthy and fresh-faced look while being beneficial to one’s complexion.
  • Beautifully designed to look like a reproduction of the rouge containers from the 30s, the embossed tin with Bésame’s signature chrysanthemums is made from 100% recyclable materials.

Bésame’s Crimson Cream Rouge is a must have rouge for that busy girl on the run that wants instant rosy cheeks and vibrant lips, but without the fuss.

Vidal Sassoon / The Man Behind The Scissors

Vidal Sassoon was more than just a hairdresser, he was an artist, a visionary, a craftsman who "changed the world with a pair of scissors."

Vidal did not have an easy childhood. He spent seven years with his younger brother at a London orphanage. His father had left his family when he was three years old and and due to poverty his mother could not afford to care for him.

One day his mother dreamed of her son being in a barbershop, she apprenticed him to a local barber. And that was when Vidal's hairdressing career started.

He develop two classic geometric Bauhaus-inspired hairdos of the 1960s, the bob and the shorter five-point cut. These hairstyles liberated generations of women from the tyranny of the salon with his "wash and wear" philosophy that revolutionized a world wide trend.

Although he became very famous Vidal never forgot where he came from. He took time to help people in need through his many philanthropic causes.

I didn't know much about his life and work until I saw his movie documentary. Sometimes we may have misconceptions of people because they are famous, have money or look or act in a certain way. I learned time and again to first find out what a person is really like and not to judge a book by it's cover.

This guy had a big zest for life and for people. He was truly an inspiration for us all!

Burberry Prorsum | Fall Winter Collection!

Image from Burberry Collection Via Vogue
Burberry just had their new 2012 Fall Winter Collection show! And it was fantastic! The designs for this collection is like a beautiful art collage of  Edwardian, Victorian, and 40'style eras all in one! All of which are my favorites styles!

The tweed fabric ruffles tier skirts with tailored Edwardian jackets gave the collection a great mix of feminine elegance along with practicality for everyday street-ware. This collection I am sure will make any Victoriana girl super jealous!

And we can't forget about the men. They all looked sharp wearing velvet fabric pants and jackets!

Now let's enjoy the fashion show!

I am all totally inspired!

An Invitation from Fashion Designer Lena Hoschek!

The other day I was pleasantly surprised when I received a personal invitation from Lena Hoschek to attend her fashion show for Berlin's Fashion Week! I was so excited to have been invited to the event that I almost flipped!

Ever since I was little girl I have always loved the romantic classic look. So when I saw Lena's latest fall/winter collection I knew that it was a fresh twist from the regular vintage look that I am used to seeing.

When I saw Lena's latest collection the bold colors and prints, the bows and the checkered patterns it brought back fond memories to the time when I was in high school.

When I was in school I was too busy studying and trying to make my grades that I barely had time for myself. Back then I believed in being practical when it came to fashion. So that was why I adopted the effortless preppy look.

Lena's chic preppy romantic designs are like a box of chocolates. Every single item of dress is sweet, bold, and beautiful!

At the end of the day I wasn't able to attend the event. New York's Fashion Week would have been a more realistic travel plan for me. I would loved to have met Lena!

I sure can't wait to be able to wear one of Lena's designs one day! It would sure bring back happy high school memories...

Stop Staring 2012 Spring/ Summer Collection!

Stop Staring by Alicia Estrada
This has been an unusually warm Winter for us here in the Western Hemisphere. And what best than to start thinking about Spring & Summer retro wear with our all time favorite store Stop Staring!

This past October Stop Staring launched their Spring/ Summer 2012 Collection during Los Angeles Fashion Week. When I saw their Fashion Show I immediately fell in love with the entire collection! This time Alicia Estrada nailed it.(I know I can't help saying that all the time when I see Alicia's new collection).

In an interview Alicia mentioned that her collection was inspired by the film noir. She then described her collection.“For my collection this season, I have focused on drape, tailoring, and cutting a dress to wrap around a woman’s figure and enhance all shapes and sizes, all inspired by the era of the 1940s and 1950s. I really want women to feel feminine and classy, and empower them with a great fitting dress. Fit and quality are always at the top of my lists.”

If you missed the show we have it here for you to enjoy!

Stop Staring Fashion Show:

I am totally excited for this new collection! I already have my favorites picks!
